About APHPCL
Amaipara Pollishree Handicraft Producer Company Ltd. (APHPCL) was established on11/03/2024 under the Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojana (AHVY) of the Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India, and is registered under the Companies Act, 2013 (18 of 2013).
The Producer Company comprises around 650 local women artisans engaged in the traditional craft of Kantha embroidery stitching. At the grassroots level, APHPCL is actively involved in the production and promotion of Kantha embroidery products, preserving this rich heritage craft while creating sustainable livelihood opportunities.
The ultimate goal of the Company is the economic empowerment of poor and underprivileged women artisans by enhancing their skills, improving income levels, and ensuring better market access for their handcrafted products.
